Rus McCoy Book, lyrics and music

In the 1990’s Rus recorded three independent CDs: “ACE” (1992), “The Gravity Bell” (1995) and “Cowboys and Idioms” (1999).  He performed in various LGBTQ+ festivals across the country as well as the Los Angeles coffeehouse circuit.  In 2000, Rus turned his creative energies towards musical theater.

Rus McCoy moved from his birthplace, Los Angeles, CA to Atlanta, GA in October 2009.

Dan Taguchi  additional music

Dan has been making music since the seventh grade.  He has performed with a number of musical groups, including the UCLA and CSUN Jazz Ensembles. Dan is a woodwind specialist (saxophone, flute, and clarinet).  He also plays keyboards, acoustic guitar, and electric bass professionally.

Dan Taguchi is the Co-composer of some of the music in the musical, "MANZANAR", with his long time friend and collaborator, Russell McCoy.  Dan has worked with East West Players, America's premier Asian American theater organization, as musical director for MANZANAR. His other musical theater credits include: CABARET, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, GREASE, CHICAGO, INTO THE WOODS, ANYTHING GOES, and many, many more. Dan resides in Winnetka, CA with his wife, Lily, and their son, Jin.
